Dear Faculty, Staff member, and Students,

We are writing to inform you about a series of reports in which you may be interested.

1) The UCR Campus Security and Crime Report has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998. You are entitled to request and receive a copy of the Report for the Riverside campus. The report includes statistics for the past three years concerning crimes and incidents reported to campus security authorities (whether they occurred on campus, in off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University, or on public property adjacent to the campus). The report also provides campus policies and practices concerning security, how to report sexual assault and other crimes, crime prevention efforts, policies/laws governing alcohol and drugs, victims' assistance programs, student discipline, campus resources, and other matters. You may obtain a copy of this report by contacting the UCR Police Department, 3500 Canyon Crest Drive, or by accessing the following Internet address: http://www.police.ucr.edu/securityreport/index.html.

2) The second report is the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) report on UCR athletic program participation rates and financial support data. It contains information on the graduation rates of our student-athletes by sport, sex, and ethnicity, compared with campus-wide rates. It also summarizes participation rates, staffing levels, financial support, revenue sources, and related information by sport and for men's sports and women's sports as a whole, and information on the rates at which student-athletes graduate from the University or transfer to another institution for which the University has provided the student-athlete with substantial preparation.

3) The University is also required under federal law to make certain that other information is available to students, parents, prospective students, employees, prospective employees, guidance counselors, and the general public as follows:

A) Information on Student Privacy Rights:
Information on student privacy rights, as outlined in the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), including procedures for inspection, correction, and disclosure of information in the student's record; a description of what constitutes directory information; the consequences of blocking directory information; and an explanation of how to impose and remove such a block.

B) Information on Student Financial Assistance:

C) Information on Student Graduation and Transfer-Out Rates:
