[Students] Resolved: Service Disruption Affecting Core Campus Services

Highlander Community,

As of 10:40 PM, July 21, all UCR systems affected by the earlier power
outage have been restored and should now be accessible to users.

At approximately 3:15 PM on Friday, July 21, UCR Information Technology
Systems (ITS) received reports of numerous service disruptions and began
investigating. It was determined that the service disruption was a
widespread issue affecting systems across campus caused by a partial power
outage at the SOM-E data center. ITS deployed all staff and key vendor
contacts to resolve the issue and restore services as quickly as possible.

We understand the inconvenience this unexpected outage may have caused and
appreciate your patience as ITS worked diligently to investigate and
resolve the issue.
