Dear Spring Term Instructors,
Quarterly instructional technology training for faculty is currently
underway. In addition to the scheduled training for instructors teaching in
the large lecture halls, ITS and XCITE would like to make you aware of
three opportunities to familiarize yourself with the instructional
technology available in the small classrooms:
1. Stop by our small classroom “open house” in Chung Hall 139 on
*Wednesday,
March 23, from 10am to 1pm* to learn about the technology available in
smaller classrooms and consult with the Multimedia support team.
· Training topics include: classroom technology, additional
hardware, Zoom, Yuja, Course Capture, Poll Everywhere, and Canvas
2. Request to schedule *one-on-one classroom training* with an ITS
Multimedia team member by filling out the request form
<https://ucrsupport.service-now.com/ucr_portal?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=627215581bbe7090e4b40dc2cd4bcb2a>
in the IT service portal
3. View our *technology guidance training videos* at
ontherise.ucr.edu/guidance
As a reminder, the ITS Multimedia team will visit large lecture halls on
the first day of instruction (March 28, 2022) to provide hands-on technical
support, if needed.
Lastly, please be reminded that starting in Summer 2022 all courses will be
populated exclusively in Canvas <https://canvas.ucr.edu/>, and Blackboard
(iLearn) will not be available for any live courses. XCITE is offering
migration support to faculty, including assistance migrating Blackboard
content to Canvas

for faculty, please visit canvas.ucr.edu.
Sincerely,
Siddiq
