[Faculty] Welcome to the new iGrade

Dear UCR Faculty -

The Registrar's Office and ITS are excited to announce that the new version of iGrade<https://igrade.ucr.edu/app/home> is ready for use! You can begin using the system to process grade changes (no more emailing forms!) and grading for the Winter quarter will open Monday at 8am.

In addition to the updates to iGrade itself, the Registrar's website<https://registrar.ucr.edu/resources/igrade> has also been redesigned with new content and resources. To help with the transition to the new version, we have produced a series of video walkthroughs and written guides<https://registrar.ucr.edu/resources/igrade#training_resources> for your common tasks in iGrade. If additional assistance is needed, please contact Halim Alvarez<mailto:halim.alvarez at ucr.edu> and our office will be happy to help.

Highlights of the New System:

  *   Self-Service Grade Changes: Submit grade changes directly from your course roster in iGrade that will reflect on student records in real time. No more emailing grade change forms and waiting for a reply!
  *   Enhanced Look and Feel: Sort, filter, and view your courses and students with improved controls on a modern interface. No more hunting for extension students on different tabs!
  *   Up-to-Date Resources: Instructions and guides will be available directly within iGrade where you need them the most. A new support website will be launched with additional reference and troubleshooting information.

In full transparency, no implementation of this scale happens without a bump or two. We are aware of the following two issues, have identified the causes, and they will be resolved before Monday.

  *   Access to rosters of over 300 students is inconsistent or they may not load.
  *   When changing a student's grade, an icon will appear to view the grade history for that student. Currently those icons and the data in the history is inconsistent.
