[Faculty] [Academic Senate] Academic Support for Students Unable to Complete UC Degrees on a UC Campus

Dear Colleagues,

Please read the attached letter from Academic Council Chair Steve Cheung on behalf of the Academic Senate that addresses academic support for students in good academic standing who are unable to complete their UC degrees on a UC campus. Policy guidance is provided by the systemwide University Committee on Educational Policy (UCEP) and the Coordinating Committee on Graduate Affairs (CCGA).

As stated in the attached, Senate regulations allow flexibility to support students in completing their degree requirements when remote instruction is the only practicable option.  To that end, faculty, departments, and deans are encouraged to leverage flexibility and creativity to support student degree completion.
