[Faculty] important message to faculty from VCRED

Dear Research Community,



As you probably know, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued new guidance regarding Facilities and Administration (F&A) costs. You may have also seen the message from our system Provost explaining  what UC is doing regarding this difficult situation.



If you are submitting a proposal to NIH in the next couple of days, please contact the RED office at redalert at ucr.edu<mailto:redalert at ucr.edu> for instructions. Otherwise, we ask you to wait to finalize your budgets until further information is provided.



The situation is very fluid and continuously changing; we will keep you informed.



Thank you for your patience and be reassured that our campus, the UC system, and numerous organizations are coordinating efforts to support and protect your research.
