<span class="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">UC Riverside is leading efforts to create a world-renowned hub to create Opportunities to Advance Sustainability, Innovation, and Social Inclusion, or OASIS.</span></p>
<p class="" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.418; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span class="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">The forum will feature an overview of OASIS, followed by a question-and-answer session with representatives from the Office of the Provost, Research and Economic Development, and CE-CERT.</span></p>
<p class="" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.418; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span class="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">OASIS will house a set of shared facilities that convenes synergistic research talents and incubator space for technology transfer and startup creation activities. UCR is uniquely positioned to expand its research,
education, and economic development activities related to greenhouse gas emissions, air quality, clean energy, intelligent transportation, agriculture, natural resources management, community health and health disparity, and many other areas of scholarly work
and creative activities. </span></p>
<p class="" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; line-height: 1.418; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span class="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">Researchers from academia, industry, and regulatory agencies would interact at OASIS to address today’s critical environmental and sustainability issues. The hub will also be a convening venue for nonprofit organizations
and community groups. OASIS activities will help provide appropriate training to the next generation of researchers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders; create high-paying jobs and new start-up companies; and help invigorate the region’s economy. </span></p>

<span class="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">UCR has been working with Riverside County, City of Riverside, Riverside Chamber of Commerce, and several on- and off-campus stakeholders to advance the OASIS initiative, which will reflect the diversity and culture
of the Inland Empire and emphasize solving the region’s challenges. </span></p>
