<html aria-label="message body"><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;"><div><p>Please be advised that UCR’s <a href="http://sam.gov/">SAM.gov</a> registration has been renewed and is now active through August 12, 2027.</p><p>Proposal and award activity, as well as the drawdown of funds, may now resume (expenditures were not affected).</p><p>Sponsored Programs is notifying agency Program Officers and Grants Specialists who previously advised RED that the release of awards was pending UCR’s renewal in <a href="http://sam.gov/">SAM.gov</a> of this reactivation to enable the issuance and release of those awards. Principal Investigators who may have received similar notifications from an agency regarding pending award issuances may also notify their Program Officers.</p><p>As communicated on Friday, please continue to prepare and submit proposals as usual. As previously communicated (see <a href="http://bit.ly/45YBEhI" target="_blank">research.ucr.edu</a>), RED will establish an internal review process to determine priorities and support levels for faculty members who could not submit proposals to a particular initiative and whose funding agencies will not accept them now. To be eligible, faculty members must have submitted the complete proposal—including the budget, budget justification, and all other required components—to RED by the proposal deadline.</p><p>Thank you for your patience these past few weeks while awaiting this approval.</p></div><div>I also want to thank all of the staff who have worked tirelessly around the clock to help resolve this issue, as well as UC Government Relations and other internal and external stakeholders.
