[Msoadm] Unit 18 Faculty Titles Academic Range Adjustment Effective February 1, 2022

Dear All:

Per the ratified bargaining unit agreement between the University Council of American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT) and the University of California, the Unit 18 faculty salary ranges are undergoing immediate changes. First, there is a general range adjustment increase of 7%, alongside the minimum starting salary point ($56,945) being removed. Then, the scale transitions from a salary range to a salary scale with distinct salary points (with 3% increments between points), with current Unit 18 faculty moving on or up to the nearest point. These changes will all be effective February 1, 2022. Lastly, there will be forthcoming communication concerning the Unit 18 faculty ratification lump sum and arbitration settlement lump sum payments, which will be additional one-time payments for Unit 18 members.

The range adjustment is being coordinated by the Office of the President-Academic Personnel and will be implemented by the UCPath Center (UCPC) in conjunction with the Central Academic Personnel Office and UCR UCPATH Campus Support Center. Orgs will be notified and sent a validation report when the updates are complete.

Below is the Unit 18 faculty titles salary program timeline schedule. Attached are the job titles being ranged adjusted with the new assigned salary plan, step and grade.
