Please find attached a memo from Professor Susannah Scott and Professor Gillian Hayes, co-chairs of the Joint Senate-Administration APC Workgroup on the Future of UC Doctoral Programs, regarding expectations for ungraded academic effort.

The memo provides useful clarification of academic expectations, particularly as we approach summer when graduate students will not be enrolled in directed studies courses for the most part.
