Dear Colleagues,

Learning Lab is pleased to announce two groundbreaking grant opportunities aimed at harnessing the transformative power of artificial intelligence in education: the AI Grand Challenge and AI FAST Challenge!

Together these RFPs aim to promote AI-integrated innovation in teaching and learning while positioning California higher education faculty as thought leaders and changemakers to foster environments where AI not only enriches the educational experience, but also promotes student equity.

🔍 AI Grand Challenge<https://californiaeducationlearninglab.cmail20.com/t/j-l-glrtjdd-drhykdbdt-y/> will provide funding for an anticipated three to six grants of up to $1.5 million each over 24-42 months, in order to incentivize the development of AI use, understanding, and the capability to enhance teaching and learning and close equity gaps across California’s public colleges and universities.

⚡ AI FAST Challenge<https://californiaeducationlearninglab.cmail20.com/t/j-l-glrtjdd-drhykdbdt-j/> will provide grants ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 over 12-18 months for projects with accelerated implementation cycles, suited for agile projects aimed at swiftly advancing the integration of AI into teaching and learning.

To all of our faculty and administrators at the University of California, California State University, and California Community Colleges— we invite you to help shape the future of AI in higher education! Please visit our AI Challenge webpage<https://californiaeducationlearninglab.cmail20.com/t/j-l-glrtjdd-drhykdbdt-t/> for details on the full RFPs and related resources.

Sincerely,

The California Education Learning Lab
