FACULTY OF THE RIVERSIDE DIVISION
NOTICE OF ELECTION AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
2024-2025

March 11, 2024

In accordance with the Bylaws of the Riverside Division of the Academic Senate, nominations are requested for the following positions:

Chair of the Division                                            2-year term beginning September 1, 2024
Sang-Hee Lee's term to expire in 2024.

Vice Chair of the Division                                    1-year term beginning September 1, 2024
Declan McCole's term to expire in 2024.

Representative to the Assembly                          2-year term beginning September 1, 2024
Peter Chung's term to expire in 2024.

Committee on Committees                                  3-year terms beginning September 1, 2024


  *   Two representatives from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences
Ademide Adelusi-Adeluyl and Anne McKnight's terms to expire in 2024. Elected representatives cannot be from Philosophy.


  *   One representative from the Bourns College of Engineering
Michalis Faloutsos' term to expire in 2024. Elected representative cannot be from Electrical & Computer Engineering.

Committee on Committees


  *   One representative from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences
To complete David Lloyd's unexpired term ending in 2026. Elected representative cannot be from Philosophy.
This position will begin July 1, 2024, and expire on August 31, 2026.


  *   One representative from the School of Medicine or School of Public Policy
To complete Padmini Varadarajan's unexpired term ending in 2025.
This position will begin immediately following the completion of the election process and expire on August 31, 2025.

Please note that you must log in using your UCR NetID in order to place a nomination.

To be considered for nomination, each candidate must receive at least five nominations from eligible Senate members.  Submitting a name indicates that this person has been contacted and has agreed to serve if elected.

The deadline for nominations is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024.  Candidates who receive less than five nominations will not be considered.  Following confirmation of the nominees, an electronic ballot will be created, if necessary, with voting due by Friday, April 12, 2024.
