NOTICE OF ELECTION AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
2025-2026

March 3, 2025

In accordance with the Bylaws of the Riverside Division of the Academic Senate, nominations are requested for the following positions:

Vice Chair of the Division                               1-year term beginning September 1, 2025
Birendra (Barry) Mishra's term to expire in 2025.

Representative to the Assembly                     2-year term beginning September 1, 2025
Jennifer Hughes's term to expire in 2025.

Committee on Committees                            3-year terms beginning September 1, 2025
Committee meets Thursdays 2-3:30pm.

*         Three representatives from the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences
Mike Adams, Sean Cutler, and Kirill Shtengel's terms are to expire in 2025. Elected representatives cannot be from Environmental Science.

*         One representative from the Bourns College of Engineering
Albert Z. Wang's term to expire in 2025. Elected representative cannot be from Computer Science & Engineering.

*         One representative from the School of Medicine or the School of Public Policy
Scott Pegan's term to expire in 2025.

Nominations can be made electronically on the Senate website at:

https://senate.ucr.edu/rsenate/elections

Please note that you must log in using your UCR NetID in order to place a nomination.

To be considered for nomination, each candidate must receive at least five nominations from eligible Senate members.  Submitting a name indicates that this person has been contacted and has agreed to serve if elected.

The deadline for nominations is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025.  Candidates who receive less than five nominations will not be considered.  Following confirmation of the nominees, an electronic ballot will be created, if necessary, with voting due by Monday, April 7, 2025.
