<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2"><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">A policy prohibiting camping on campus (note that camping was already prohibited by California penal code).</span></i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2"><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Revisions to UCR’s time, place, and manner regulations, which are rules about when, where and how demonstrations and other expressive
activities may occur. These revisions strengthen and clarify the protections for people to enjoy free movement on campus, by limiting the ability of those engaged in expressive activities to impede access to buildings etc. The revisions also improve the structure
and readability of the policy. Of particular note to faculty, the revised policy specifies that it does not apply to expressive activities that are part of any academic program. And as always with time, place & manner restrictions, these are NOT based on the
content of speech/the message of expressive activities. This helps ensure that the rights and privileges of UCR faculty (as well as students and others), including academic freedom, are respected.
