[Students] Follow-up: Notice of Widespread Service Disruption

Dear Highlander Community,

 

All UCR systems have been restored as of 12:30 AM this morning and should
now be accessible to users.

 

At approximately 4:20 PM yesterday UCR Information Technology Systems (ITS)
received reports of numerous service disruptions and began investigating. It
was determined that the service disruption was a widespread issue affecting
systems across campus caused by a sudden power outage. ITS deployed all
staff and key vendor contacts to resolve the issue and restore services as
quickly as possible.

 

We understand the inconvenience this unexpected outage may have caused,
particularly for students preparing for finals. Thank you for your patience
as ITS worked diligently to investigate and resolve the issue.
