[Students] Spring Splash Good Neighbor Message

Dear Highlanders,

We are approaching the culmination of an active and eventful spring quarter. For those of you who will be graduating, congratulations! For those of you working to wind down the year and return the upcoming fall, I want to congratulate you on a job well done! You are almost done with the 2022-2023 academic year! It has been an exciting year with many events across the UCR community. It has been great to see the return of many signature events, and the beginning of new traditions on campus. As you may know, the Associated Student Programming Board has been working hard to bring you UCR's spring signature event known as Spring Splash on Saturday May 13, 2023. This exciting large event is the last of the academic year.

I want to remind you that no matter where you go, you are a Highlander and a UC Riverside student. You are the best this institution has to offer our community.  Many of you live within the local community.  It is also important to remember that our neighbors live, work and move through the community just like you. I ask that you be mindful that your actions can affect our neighbors' quality of life. If you decide to gather before or after Spring Splash, please do so responsibly and safely. We want you to have a great experience but we also want to ensure that our local community members feel respected and safe. All of our actions in the community can impact our neighbors.

I am confident that you will represent our campus with consideration, grace and demonstrate that our neighbors in the community of Riverside can be proud to be affiliated with UC Riverside. You are a UCR Highlander no matter where you go! We are proud of you and it is a privilege to be working, living and learning alongside each one of you. I wish you much success this academic year.
