Dear UCR Students,
This year, voters across the country will have the opportunity to weigh in on issues that impact their communities and their futures. The two elections on the horizon are the March Primary Election and the November General/Presidential Election. If you are eligible to vote, it is critical that you register to vote (or update your voter registration if already registered), to make sure you can participate and make your voice heard.
To register to vote, and to find more information about deadlines and eligibility, please visit vote.ucr.edu<https://vote.ucr.edu/>.
Registering to vote is easy and can be done online. The last day for online voter registration is Tuesday, February 20, 2024. You can visit vote.ucr.edu<https://vote.ucr.edu/> and click "Register to Vote." Registering takes just a few minutes! Remember that all registered voters in the State of California will receive a vote-by-mail ballot. It is important that you pay close attention to what address you are using when registering. There is a lot of important information for you to review over at vote.ucr.edu<https://vote.ucr.edu/>.
March Primary Election
The March Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, March 5th. To learn more about the primary election, please check out this Voter Information Guide<https://voterguide.sos.ca.gov/> (look at the menu on the left of the page to select your preferred language). This guide has all the information you need.
UCR will be hosting a Vote Center that will be open from Saturday, March 2nd to Tuesday, March 5th at the Student Health and Counseling Center. You can vote at this location if you are registered (or will be registering) with an address that is in Riverside County. You can also drop off any vote-by-mail ballot from anywhere in the state at this vote center. CLICK HERE<https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place/> to find your closest vote center/polling place.
Visit vote.ucr.edu<https://vote.ucr.edu/> to find important information. If you have any questions, please email ucrlife at ucr.edu<mailto:ucrlife at ucr.edu>.
Please take advantage of the hard-won right to participate in American democracy and use the most powerful tool you have to affect lasting change. Your voice and your vote matter!
