By connecting with alumni we hope to foster opportunities for students to delve deeper into career exploration and gain a unique perspective from alumni who lead successful careers and were once students at UCR just like you currently are. From the Office of the Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
The ASUCR office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) is here to serve the UC Riverside community by promoting and ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion on all levels. This year, our goal is to identify barriers that prevent the diversity, equity, and inclusion of students, faculty, and staff of UCR; along with the solutions to acknowledge and solve these barriers

The following 3 committees will consist of a minimum of 6 members. The position of Ethnic and Gender Programs Director is also open and can be applied for in the same application link<https://forms.gle/MsKe7rZcr7rLEGkS6>.

  *   Ethnic and Gender Program Director (1)

  *   Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee: This committee ensures diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels within the university, led by the VP DEI and supported by senators and student representatives.


  *   Ethnic and Gender Programs Committee: This committee acts as a liaison and support group between the Ethnic and Gender Programs offices and the student government to advocate for underrepresented communities.


  *   Disability Rights and Awareness Committee: This committee prioritizes the voices of students with disabilities, collaborates with relevant organizations, and promotes disability rights and equity across campus.
Members must be knowledgeable of Associated Students' bureaucratic practices for the purpose of better supporting and educating programs’ staff. Strong advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

In joining this committee, you will gain valuable skills, such as communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and others.

From the Office of the International Student Director
ASUCR International Students Committee shall act as the body of ASUCR that is responsible for prioritizing and bringing to light International Student issues and resources. The purpose of the committee is to ensure the inclusion and participation of campus-wide activities and academics of international students. Creating an encouraging environment that allows students to become active members of the UC Riverside community.
The International Students Committee shall consist of at-least eight members. The International Student Director is seeking qualified candidates to fill the positions listed below.   *   Committee Members At-Large (1+)
  *   Committee Senator (2) (must be a current ASUCR Senator)
A successful member of this committee--- just to name a few qualities---- is a strong advocate for International students, open to new and differing ideas, and working alongside diverse Highlander populations.

In joining this committee, you will hone and gain valuable skills, such as communication, organization, time management, interpersonal communications, and more!
