*FROM THE OFFICE OF THE ASUCR ELECTIONS *

Undergraduate students - Have you voted? Your ballot was emailed to your
UCR email address. Once you submit your ballot, visit one of the polling
sites throughout campus and pick up a cool incentive! You are able to pick
up a shirt, tote bag, bottle, or a food item for your contribution. The end
of the ballot has space for you to enter the elections raffle! Prizes
include gift cards from Coffee Bean, UCR Bookstore, Raising Canes and
In-N-Out as well JBL headphones/speaker and various popular lego sets.

BIG EVENT🍎‼️

WANT FREE SUB STATION & A POTENTIAL UCR DINING GIFT CARD⁉️

Join us on Friday, May 2nd from 11:30 AM - 1 PM at HUB 355 for an event
collaboration with UCR Basic Needs!

We will be going over Cal Fresh 🥬, how to apply, and the stigma around it,
as well as other Basic Needs resources on campus 🥑. We will also be going
over some state legislative bills in the Senate and Assembly that will
impact Basic Needs services, and what we can do to advocate for more Basic
Needs on campus! 📜

There will be a letter-writing activity to write to your representatives to
stop the 8% budget cut to the UC and invest more into Basic Needs! ✍️

We hope to see you there!

Happy Wednesday, and I hope your studies are going well.

Tired from studying and need to take a break? Get out your journal or
Google Calendars, and save the date for the third annual Global Fair,
hosted by the ASUCR Office of International Students. The countdown begins!

On Wednesday, May 7th, be prepared for a delightful evening filled with
good food, live music, and performances from your favorite student
organizations. There will also be opportunities to enter a giveaway,
purchase merchandise, and meet different on-campus departments and student
organizations. Note that the event will be outdoors around the Bell Tower
and surrounding lawn from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

If you are interested in participating, tabling, or are a student
organization who would like to get involved, please let me know by emailing
me at mwang269 at ucr.edu.

The UCR International Affairs Office will be hosting a town hall event this
Friday, May 2nd at 1:30pm PT to discuss issues facing our international
student and scholar communities.
