*From the Office of the International Student Director: *
Dear Highlanders,
I hope you are doing well. *Please save next Wednesday, May 28th on your
calendar for two cool events hosted in collaboration with ASUCR committees
and offices. *It is going to be a beautiful day to learn more about
resources for international students and get to know our community members
better!

Calling all undergraduate international students! In case you missed the
town hall hosted by the UCR International Affairs Office on Friday, May
2nd, you're in luck! ASUCR External Affairs and International Students
Office is hosting a "Know Your Visa" event next Wednesday, May 28th at the
Student Success Center (SSC) in the Group Meeting Room #2 at 1:00pm.
Attendees will learn general information regarding international visa
statuses, how to find reliable legal advice, and helpful travel tips. Light
refreshments will be provided. You may contact Katie at
katie.chau1 at email.ucr.edu if you have any questions.

Later in the day, join us for a picnic at the Aberdeen Inverness (AI) Knoll
from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Hosted in collaboration with the ASUCR Student Life
Committee, we are excited to welcome you to the International Student
Picnic! Attendees will enjoy Subway sandwiches outdoors at the Knoll and
learn about resources available to international students here at UCR. You
may contact Jessica at jessica.liyanage at email.ucr.edu if you have any
questions.

*CAMPUS RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT*:
Hello Highlanders! Underground Scholars, in collaboration with The Well and
Student Health Services, have changed locations of campus Collegiate
Recovery Meetings-- from 9:30am-11:30am in SHCC 1320, OR online via zoom,
this is an open resource for any and all UCR students who may need help
navigating addiction with a supportive community. Free coffee and snacks
are also provided!"

*From the Office of the Vice President of Finance:*
Hi Highlanders! Here are some ASUCR Finance Reminders and Announcements:
*Grant & Exemption Deadline*
Please ensure to submit any Grant or Allocation Exemption Requests by
Friday, May 23rd, 11:59pm. This is the final deadline of the quarter for
these items.

*Zelle Reimbursements Backed Up *
***For student clubs/organizations that receive organization or grant
funding from ASUCR*
Due to the daily/weekly/monthly limits with utilizing Zelle, as well as the
large volume of requisitions submitted, we are currently experiencing *very
long delays* for Zelle reimbursements. In order to receive your
reimbursement in an expedited manner, we highly advise everyone to sign up
for the direct deposit option, which provides a more consistent
reimbursement timeline of 1-2 weeks.
Each student seeking to be reimbursed only needs to fill out the *Direct
Deposit form *once per academic year. They would need to check off the
"Direct Deposit" option when submitting a reimbursement, however we are
also able to update previous Zelle reimbursements to direct deposit.
