Campus Notice: Unexpected IT Service Disruption Affecting Several Key
Campus Services
Dear Highlander Community,
Please be advised that several critical campus systems are currently
experiencing an unexpected service disruption due to hardware failure. This
outage impacts key services, including financial and administrative
systems, Enterprise Access Control System (EACS), travel and reporting
systems, and various student and campus access systems.
As a result, you may be unable to access or utilize these services for
tasks such as financial transactions, travel expense reporting, graduate
student management, and grade reporting. Additionally, some authorized
applications may not appear in R’Space/R’Web and the ability to change
one’s account password may not be possible in MyAccount. For a complete
list of affected systems, please visit techalerts.ucr.edu.
ITS is actively working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. We
anticipate that services will be restored within the next 12 to 24 hours.
Please note:

Operational Systems: Many essential systems remain operational. This
includes, but is not limited to, campus WiFi, the campus network, Canvas,
Banner, Google Workspace, SharePoint, the Time & Attendance Reporting
System, UCPath, and Wepa printing. Please reference techalerts.ucr.edu
for a complete list of operational systems. You should be able to access
and utilize these services as usual.

Academic Operations: Classes, research, and other academic operations
should not be affected.

Administrative Operations: Some administrative staff–primarily financial
and administrative staff–may be unable to perform certain tasks that rely
on the affected systems.
Please visit techalerts.ucr.edu, where we will continue to keep campus
updated on the status of this issue until it is resolved.

patience as we work diligently to restore system services.
