<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black;background:white">Martin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health at UC San Diego, and is Epidemiology Program Leader for
UC San Diego’s Return to Learn Steering Committee.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black;background:white"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black;background:white">Since March 2020 she has been developing models of how SARS-CoV-2 might spread on campus and in San Diego. Her recent models address possible on-campus infections based on the
percentage of faculty, staff, and students who have been vaccinated.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black;background:white"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:black;background:white">Martin holds an honorary senior lecturer position at the University of Bristol. She also is the co-director of the Biostatistics and Modeling Core of the UC San Diego Center for
AIDS Research. She has worked for 18 years developing mathematical models of disease progression and transmission in both communicable and non-communicable diseases.
