make informed choices about your involvement, UCR would like to provide all students with the following information regarding risk management and student organizations.
</span>The list of dismissed and/or unrecognized student organizations will change on a regular basis and we advise you to refer to this

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#0D0D0D">There are some students who act on behalf of student organizations that are not recognized by UCR. Student members of these groups may contact you to join their organization or simply invite you to attend their
events. <b>These organizations are not affiliated with the campus or governing councils in any way. Campus personnel do not advise these groups, do not provide training and resources, and their events are wholly independent of UCR.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Alpha Phi Alpha (AÖA)</b> Fraternity was dismissed in 2019 as a result of hazing allegations.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;background:white">Alpha Sigma Omicron (AÓO)
</span></strong><strong><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;background:white;font-weight:normal">Co-ed pre-health fraternity was dismissed from UCR in 2017 as a result of hazing.<o:p></o:p></span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Beta Chi Theta (BX</b><b><span style="font-family:Symbol">q</span>)
</b>Fraternity was dismissed by UCR in 2017 as a result of risk management violations and failure to comply with University sanctions.<b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Beta Upsilon Delta (BUD)</b> Fraternity was dismissed by UCR in 2018 as a result of risk management violations and failure to comply with University sanctions.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) </b>Fraternity was suspended by its national headquarters and dismissed by UCR in 2019 as a result of hazing.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Phi Kappa Psi (ÖK</b><b><span style="font-family:Symbol">Y</span>)
</b>Fraternity was dismissed by UCR in 2020 as a result of hazing and failure to comply with University sanctions. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Pi Alpha Phi (ÐÁÖ)</b> Fraternity also known as “Pineapples” was dismissed by UCR in 2012 as a result of hazing and failure to comply with University sanctions.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Pi Delta Psi (ÐÄ</b><b><span style="font-family:Symbol">Y</span>)
</b>Fraternity was dismissed by UCR in 2019 as a result of failure to comply with University sanctions.<o:p></o:p></p>

</b>Not dismissed for behavioral concerns, just never formally recognized by the campus.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Kappa Sigma (ÊÓ)</b> Fraternity began activity in Riverside in 2011 but is not recognized by the University.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#0D0D0D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#0D0D0D">These organizations have had their recognition revoked by the institution or have never received recognition by UCR, for various reasons.
</span>Joining dismissed or unrecognized organizations and/or participating in activities perceived to be official activities of dismissed or unrecognized organizations is considered a policy violation and could result in suspension or dismissal from the University.

in which standards for behavior are clearly communicated to members of the community. We encourage all students to take action in any situations where they feel individuals may be at risk. If you have heard of or seen any activity that may put students at
risk, you can report it to UCPD, Student Conduct, the Fraternity and Sorority Involvement Center, Student Life, Athletics, Residential Life, or the Dean of Students.
