COVID-19 lab expands
Since it opened two months ago, UCR's diagnostic lab has ramped up processing of samples for the coronavirus. The lab recently added more space and staff.

UC announces new policy on gender recognition and lived name

Parking moves to era of virtual permitting
Transportation Services is moving to an automated license plate recognition system for parking permits. Full implementation is expected in summer 2021.

RTA switches to contactless fare system for UCR bus riders
UCR students and employees can continue to ride Riverside Transit Agency buses for free with a new contactless fare system that allows passengers to board using a mobile device.
