[Ucrfacultyandstaff] UC Systemwide Energy Conservation Alert - from 3:00 - 9:00 pm

Dear UCR Campus Community,

Governor Newsom and the State of California Independent Service Operator (ISO) has called upon the UC System to conserve energy during the most critical time of the day, today from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Facilities Services is taking measures to lower power use at the Central Plant without impacting services to campus. Please partner to assist us while on campus and at home. Turn off unnecessary lights, unplug unused electrical devices, close window blinds, charge mobile devices and electric cars outside of this timeframe, and set your home thermostat to 78 degrees.
