Interim GSOE dean named to leadership initiative
Louie Rodríguez, interim dean of the Graduate School of Education, is one of 32 higher education leaders chosen to participate in the 2021 Millennium Leadership Initiative, a program of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.

Alumna wins 2021 Georgia Poetry Prize
Jasmine Elizabeth Smith, MFA'19, a teacher in UCR's Veterans Legacy Program, won the 2021 Georgia Poetry Prize for her poetry collection "South Flight."

UC launches fifth systemwide staff engagement survey
About 20,000 nonrepresented UC staff members will be invited to take part in the UC Staff Engagement Survey that will be distributed the week of May 10. The survey closes June 4.
