New Vendor: Farmers Insurance ChoiceSM • Auto, Homeowners, and Renter’s Insurance

Beginning September 1, 2021, Farmers Insurance ChoiceSM will replace California Casualty Insurance for personal auto, homeowners, and renter’s insurance products to UCR faculty and staff. The change in insurance vendors is a result of a recently announced expansion of a multicampus program between the University of California Partnership Programs (UC Partnership Programs) and Farmers GroupSelectSM. This partnership is made possible by UC Partnership Programs, which works collectively with the UC system to create partnerships between business providers and the University of California campuses.

The program will provide additional benefits, including discounts on individual policies and on bundled auto, homeowners, and renter’s insurance packages quoted through the Farmers Insurance Choice® platform, which provides individuals with multiple quotes from highly rated insurance carriers to get coverage that best meets their needs. In addition, individuals will have the opportunity to access educational content and one-on-one consultation with a professional Farmers agent. Faculty and staff who choose to participate will also have the option to use automatic payments or payroll deductions through UCPath.

Faculty and staff currently enrolled in California Casualty
Those currently enrolled with California Casualty will retain the same coverage and payroll deductions without disruption. No action is required to continue with the California Casualty insurance plan.
