Dear Campus Community,

We write today to stress the importance of the previously communicated requirement that all eligible employees must obtain a COVID-19 vaccination booster. Please submit your proof of vaccination by February 25, 2022. Information on who is eligible for a booster can be found here<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html>.

Vaccination records for UC Riverside employees will be stored in the new HIPAA-secure Epic system (also called MyChart), which is managed in partnership between UC San Diego Health and UCR Health. Epic provides multiple advantages for storing and managing confidential employee vaccination records, which will benefit UCR’s pandemic response going forward. Due to the transition to the new MyChart system, we are providing additional time for UCR employees to submit their booster information.

If you are a UCR Health patient, or if you received any of your COVID-19 vaccines from the UCR School of Medicine or UCR Health, you already have an active MyChart account. Please click here<https://studentdocs.ucr.edu/campus-return/UCR_Employee_Instructions_for_Uploading%20COVID19%20Vaccine%20Information.pdf> to access instructions for uploading your information.

If you have never previously activated a MyChart account, you will receive a message to your UCR email address from MyChart at healthmychart.org<mailto:MyChart at healthmychart.org> (with branding from our partners at UC San Diego Health) between now and Friday, January 21. The email contains an instant activation link that you may click from either a mobile device or computer to begin activating your account. Once activated, click here<https://studentdocs.ucr.edu/campus-return/UCR_Employee_Instructions_for_Uploading%20COVID19%20Vaccine%20Information.pdf> to access instructions for uploading your information. If you do not receive this message by close of business on Friday, January 21, please contact COVID19 at medsch.ucr.edu<mailto:COVID19 at medsch.ucr.edu> for assistance.

In addition to protecting your own health, your compliance with UC vaccination policy<https://policy.ucop.edu/doc/5000695/SARS-Cov-2> supports the needs of our entire community. Thank you for doing your part.

Stay healthy,

Elizabeth Watkins,
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor

Gerry Bomotti,
Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer
