Dear Campus Community,

As you may be aware, Governor Newsom signed an executive order to end the state of emergency related to COVID in California on February 28, 2023. As a result, the campus will be ending on-site COVID-19 PCR testing at the Student Success Center and Bear Cave locations. The last day testing will be available is Friday, February 24, 2023. While UCR will no longer provide PCR testing on campus, you may contact your primary provider or find another PCR testing source at https://myturn.ca.gov/testing.html.

Our priority remains the health and safety of our campus community, and we are committed to providing the necessary resources to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The campus will continue to make available antigen test kits to faculty, staff and students using the antigen kit request form<https://campusreturn.ucr.edu/testing-requirements>. We encourage you to test when you have symptoms or had an exposure, before and after travel or attending events. Reporting positive cases of COVID-19 through the Screening Check<https://campusreturn.ucr.edu/covid-screening-check> is still required.

We will provide updates and instructions as conditions evolve.

Sheila Hedayati
Executive Director
Environmental Health and Safety
