Campus wireless network enhancement on December 17 requires reconnection to
the EDUROAM and UCR-GUEST WiFi networks.

Dear Highlander,

Please be advised that a planned campus wireless network enhancement will
take place on December 17, 2025. This is part of a series of network
infrastructure improvements that Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is
making to enhance the security, resilience, and reliability of our IT
infrastructure.

As a result, if you use the EDUROAM and/or UCR-GUEST WiFi networks, you
will need to take specific steps to maintain access.
EDUROAM Troubleshooting Guidance

   1.

   Prompt your device to forget the EDUROAM WiFi network.

      Follow the instructions for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

      2.

      Follow the instructions for Windows 10 and 11

      2.

   Reconnect to the EDUROAM WiFi network (read the IT knowledge article to
   learn how

   ).
   3.

   Accept the new wireless security certificate.


Note: This process must be performed whether you access EDUROAM from UCR’s
campus or another EDUROAM campus.
UCR-GUEST Troubleshooting Guidance

After the network change, all users of the UCR-GUEST WiFi network will be
required to re-register on the UCR-GUEST sign-in page in order to access
it. This re-registration only needs to occur once after the network change
on December 17. After re-registration, you will be able to use the
UCR-GUEST WiFi as normal.

(Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM) or submit a ticket at its.ucr.edu/help.
For in person support, you may also visit IT Support Services, located on
the first floors of the Rivera and Orbach libraries and the Student Success
Center, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Please note that in observance of the winter holidays, UC Riverside
operations will be suspended beginning Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and
will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026. During this time, ITS staff will be
unavailable to respond to calls or tickets submitted to the help desk.
