<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra H. Kim as interim vice chancellor for planning, budget, and administration, effective April 14, 2025. Sandra will serve in
this role for a one-year term while we conduct a search for a permanent replacement for Gerry Bomotti, who will be retiring from UCR in April.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Sandra brings to the position more than two decades of experience managing the complexities of financial strategy and operations in higher education.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">From 2008 to 2017, she worked for the University of California Office of the President as associate vice president of finance, overseeing liquidity management, capital, and
real estate development for the UC system. In 2017, she left the University to become managing director and group head for UBS Public Finance, serving as a strategic partner for higher education and non-profit institutions in credit strategies, public-private
partnerships, and investor relations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Most recently, she served as the interim vice president of finance and CFO at Barnard College—Columbia University and vice president of finance and administration and CFO at
Saint Mary's College of California.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">Sandra holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian American studies from UC Berkeley. She serves on the board of advisors
for the Center for Municipal Finance at the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
