Interested in serving on ASUCR’s Judicial Branch? Associate Justices are
dedicated to ensuring the student body is represented and to weigh in all
matters relating to the Judicial branch. You will be responsible for:

   -

   Attending Weekly Judicial Council Meetings
   -

   Interpreting the ASUCR bylaws, constitution, and mediate conflict
   between branches
   -

   Working with the Elections Committee
   -

   Leading a committee and mentoring a fellow

The UCSA Campaign Vice Chair Application

is now open!

What is UCSA?
The University of California Student Association (UCSA) is the official
systemwide voice for undergraduate and graduate students across all nine UC
campuses. UCSA campaigns are how students turn shared concerns including
affordability, admissions equity, food security, and civic power into
coordinated, systemwide action instead of nine separate campuses fighting
the same battles alone. Because UCSA operates at the systemwide level, its
campaigns have direct lines to the UC Office of the President and the Board
of Regents, meaning the work Campaign Vice Chairs lead shapes policy that
affects every UC student. Getting involved means having a real hand in
decisions that are usually made in rooms students aren't in, and it's one
of the most direct ways to build power for UCR and the UC system as a whole.

Campaign Vice Chairs are the lead coordinators for one of our five
permanent campaigns. These campaign goals were set by UC students at this
year's Student Organizing Summit:

ACQUIRE
Make students eligible for CalFresh when their on-campus meal plan doesn't
meet all their food needs and they otherwise qualify under CalFresh's
financial and student-eligibility requirements.

Fund the UC
Preserve and expand the Pell Grant, which is currently being debated and
could either devastate or expand opportunity and affordability for millions
of current and future students.

Racial Justice Now
Stop the UC from reinstating the SAT or ACT as a formal admissions
requirement.

Students Enacting Environmental Defense
Call on the UC to release its enrollment data-collection practices around
how student ethnic identities are recorded systemwide, with an emphasis on
Native and Indigenous enrollment data.

UCweVote
Empower UC students to run for local office through mentorship, resources,
training, and visibility.
