The Black Student Affairs Team (BSAT) is an ASUCR External Affairs
initiative dedicated to advocating for Black students at UC Riverside
through civic engagement, leadership development, and policy-focused
education. Each week, BSAT shares key updates on issues impacting Black
communities while highlighting ways students can stay informed and involved.

Sankofa, as well as major state and federal developments, including UT
Austin’s restructuring of African and African Diaspora Studies and a
federal ruling limiting California’s ICE mask ban. BSAT also invites

ASUCR's Senate acts as the main decision-making body of student government,
representing the voices of undergraduates across campus. It’s made up of
elected senators from each college, along with executive officers who help
organize and support student-led efforts. The Senate meets every week to
review and vote on legislation, distribute funding to student
organizations, and talk through issues that impact the wider campus
community. Meetings are led by the Executive Vice President and follow a
structured format to keep things fair, open, and inclusive. Overall, the
Senate plays a vital role in making sure student voices are heard and in
improving student life at UCR.
Agenda and Documents can be found on the ASUCR website
