Diversity Council will be going over this quarter's work such as reviewing
bylaws, TedTalks about empowerment, redefining what it means to be a
non-traditional student, and building solidarity.

NEW! ASUCR Undergraduate Student Travel Grant ✈️📚

Earlier this year, the ASUCR Finance Committee and ASUCR Senate approved
funding for the ASUCR Undergraduate Student Travel Grant. This grant
program is designed to support students seeking to advance their academic
and professional growth through research and experiential learning and aims
to reduce financial barriers for undergraduates who wish to present their
research at academic conferences, participate in professional development
workshops, or engage in other scholarly/co-curricular experiences that
enhance their educational journey.  As a supplemental source of funding, grant
will complement existing departmental or external support while helping
reduce financial barriers to participation. The grant amount ranges from
$150-$1,100 depending on the location and level of participation. This
initiative aims to expand access to high-impact learning opportunities and
empower students to represent the university in academic and professional
communities.

ASUCR's Senate acts as the main decision-making body of student government,
representing the voices of undergraduates across campus. It’s made up of
elected senators from each college, along with executive officers who help
organize and support student-led efforts. The Senate meets every week to
review and vote on legislation, distribute funding to student
organizations, and talk through issues that impact the wider campus
community. Meetings are led by the Executive Vice President and follow a
structured format to keep things fair, open, and inclusive. Overall, the
Senate plays a vital role in making sure student voices are heard and in
improving student life at UCR.
