NOTICE OF ELECTION AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
2023-2024

April 3, 2023

In accordance with the Bylaws of the Riverside Division of the Academic Senate, nominations are requested for the following positions:


Vice Chair of the Division                  1-year term beginning September 1, 2023
Declan McCole's term to expire in 2023.

Representative to the Assembly        2-year term beginning September 1, 2023
David Biggs' term to expire in 2023.

Committee on Committees               3-year terms beginning September 1, 2023

*       Two representatives from the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences
Lawrence Rosenblum and Victor Ortego-Marti's terms to expire in 2023. Elected representatives cannot be from History or Comparative Literature and Languages.

*       One representative from the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences
Samantha Ying's term to expire in 2023. Elected representatives cannot be from Entomology, Botany and Plant Sciences, or Physics and Astronomy.

*       One representative from the School of Education or the School of Business
Mohsen El Hafsi's term to expire in 2023.

Nominations can be made electronically on the Senate website at:

https://senate.ucr.edu/rsenate/elections

Please note that you must log in using your UCR NetID in order to place a nomination.

To be considered for nomination, each candidate must receive at least five nominations from eligible Senate members.  Submitting a name indicates that this person has been contacted and has agreed to serve if elected.

The deadline for nominations is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023.  Candidates who receive less than five nominations will not be considered.  Following confirmation of the nominees, an electronic ballot will be created, if necessary, with voting due by Friday, May 5, 2023.
