Dear Faculty,



We are now recruiting faculty mentors from all areas for the 2024 Mentoring Summer Research Internship Program<https://apro.ucr.edu/undergrad/msrip>. If you would like to mentor an undergraduate student during their summer research experience, we invite you to fill out this interest form by January 15th, 2024:

Important information to note:



  *   Please note that this form does not obligate you in any way. You will be able to review the applications of prospective candidates and decide if you would like to mentor a specific applicant.
  *   These summer research experiences for UG are fully paid for by Graduate Division; you will not be asked to contribute any funds to support the student.
  *   Every faculty mentor will receive a small stipend.
  *   These experiences will take place June 24 – August 16, 2024. We ask that you continuously meet with your mentee and provide support for their research and professional development, customized to your and your mentee’s schedule.



Descriptions of our summer internships programs for UG:

  *   Mentoring Summer Research Internship Program (MSRIP) is UCR Graduate Division's 8-week summer research internship designed for under-resourced and underrepresented undergraduate students (and select master's students) in any major to gain research experience and academically prepare for graduate school.
  *   UC Leads is a UC-systemwide research opportunity for under-resourced and underrepresented students currently enrolled in a STEM degree program. Students will participate in UCR Graduate Division's summer internship programming during the Summer of 2024 and then travel to another UC campus the following summer.
