[Msoadm] CSC Update: Fall Hires: Employee Onboarding Process Routes

Dear Colleagues,
We hope you are well. As you know fall quarter is upon us, which means it is an incredibly busy time for hiring. With that said, we would like to apprise you of three ways to get your new hires in the system so that they can receive their NetID in the most efficient way possible.
This communication is being sent to all stakeholders in the process. Specifically, this email is being distributed to SSC teams, AP Directors/ AP Deans staff, CFAOs and HR/AP Staff that are involved in this process. In addition, the Vice Provost of Academic Personnel, Dan Jeske, is also communicating to Department Chairs and Faculty/Academic Supervisors.
What to expect with Fall Hiring:
* Potential delays in hires due to Fall Quarter volume
What can we do about it:
* Please remember to be conscious of deadlines to ensure timely NetID generation
* Entire Onboarding Process may take up to 20 business days
* Best Practice is to submit onboarding requests for new hires at least one month (20 or more business days) in advance of employee's start date especially during peak periods.
* UCPath Templates should be submitted a minimum of 10 business days prior to employee's start date to best ensure timely NetId generation.
* Recognize the three Employee Onboarding Process Routes
* STANDARD PROCESS - Best Method
* PRE-HIRE PROCESS - Preferred Method over the Affiliate NetID Process
* AFFILIATE NETID PROCESS - Least Preferred Method

* To apprise you and your team of the reminders for hiring (time frames, best practices, etc.)
