[Msoadm] Non-Ladder Rank Titles Academic Appointees Range Adjustment Increase Effective July 1, 2023

Below is the Academic Range Adjustments Program effective for July 1, 2023. The updated tables are posted on UCOP's Academic Personnel and Programs salary scales page, found here<https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/2023-24-academic-salary-scales.html>.
NON-FACULTY ACADEMIC APPOINTEES

Non-faculty academic appointees will receive a 4.6% increase effective July 1, 2023, for monthly paid and July 09, 2023, for biweekly paid.

  *   Assistant and Associate University Librarian
  *   Cooperative Extension Advisor Series
  *   Specialist in Cooperative Extension Series
  *   Continuing Educators
  *   Academic Administrator Series
  *   Academic Coordinator

NON-REPRESENTED ACADEMIC RESEARCHERS AND NON-REPRESENTED LIBRARIAN SALARY SCALES

Non-represented Academic Researchers and non-represented Librarians which will see a 4.6% scale increase effective July 1,2023, for monthly paid appointees and July 09, 2023, for biweekly paid appointees.

*         Non-represented Project (e.g., Scientist) Series

REPRESENTED ACADEMIC APPOINTEES

Salary scales for represented academic appointees are set by the terms of their Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).

Professional Librarian Unit (LX Unit)
LX titles will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 3.0% with effective dates of July 1, 2023, for monthly paid appointees and July 09, 2023, for biweekly paid appointees.

Academic Researchers Unit (RA Unit)
RA titles will receive 4.5% increase effective July 1, 2023, for monthly paid appointees and July 09,2023 for biweekly paid appointees.

  *   Represented Coordinators of Public Programs
  *   Represented Project (e.g., Scientist) Series

Unit 18 Faculty (IX Unit)
Unit 18 Faculty, Lecturer and Unit 18 Faculty, Supervisor of Teacher Education (IX-unit titles) will be adjusted by a general range adjustment of 3% increase effective July 1, 2023. Positions and/or titles paid on a "By Agreement" basis may continue to be paid on a "By Agreement" basis insofar as the amount paid to each "By Agreement" Unit 18 faculty is at or above the minimum of the salary range for that position.

Medical Residents (M5 Unit)
Local Represented Medical Residents (M5-unit titles) will receive 5% increase effective July 1, 2023.
The range adjustment is being coordinated by the Office of the President-Academic Personnel and will be implemented by the UCPath Center (UCPC) in conjunction with the Central Academic Personnel Office and UCR UCPATH Campus Support Center.  Existing employees with system wide scale rates will be updated via the ranges adjustment process in July. Orgs will be notified and sent a validation report when the updates are complete.

*UCPath Center freeze transactions for affected population. Please see attached job code listing of affected job titles during the freeze.

08/01/23 Monthly
08/02/23 Biweekly
Non-LR job titles Paycheck Dates
*Freeze only applies to Pay Component changes to the Impacted Population (which are those in the salary plans being range adjusted).
(Pay Component changes include job code changes, employee classification changes, salary plan changes, pay rate changes, etc.)
New Hire, Concurrent Hire, Rehire, Termination, Retirement, Extend Job, and Short Work Break transactions CAN be processed.
Freeze DOES NOT apply to any other populations.
