PPSM 2.210 Absence From Work and Rehired Retiree Management Consultation





The Office of the President Policy Unit sent a request for Management Consultation (review and comment) on revisions to PPSM 2.210 Absence from Work and Rehire Retiree policies. The review period has a quick turnaround, and all comments are due on Friday, February 7, 2025.



Proposed Revisions

*         Allow rehired retirees in non-UCRP eligible positions to earn sick leave. (p. 17 and conforming edits elsewhere)

*         Make clarifying edits to continue current practice regarding eligibility for extended sick leave due to work-related injury or illness. (p. 37)

*         Make other minor clarifying edits.



Deadline for Comments

To allow for time to submit comments to UCOP, our Central Human Resources Policy team is requesting all comments to be returned to hrpolicy at ucr.edu<mailto:hrpolicy at ucr.edu> by noon on Friday, February 7, 2025.
