[Msoadm] Notice: Campus Network Services Temporarily Unavailable on September 14 Due to Planned Campus Firewall Maintenance

Colleagues,

Please be advised that select campus network services, including IOT
Wireless, will experience a scheduled unavailability between 6:00 AM and
6:00 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

This scheduled downtime is needed to support crucial upgrades to our campus
border firewall.

Please note:


   -

   The following network services will be unavailable:
   -

      UCR Guest Wireless
      -

      UCR IOT Wireless
      -

      UniFi IOT Wireless
      -

      UniFi Guest Wireless
      -

         Note regarding Internet of Things (IOT) networks: “Smart” devices
         (e.g., appliances that connect to the internet via these
networks) will be
         offline during the maintenance period.
         -

   ITS does not anticipate service disruptions outside of the planned
   maintenance window. If you experience a service disruption outside of this
   timeframe, please report it at its.ucr.edu/help or 951-827-4848.

affected campus network services (Note: UCR TechAlerts is also accessible
