Subject: Provost Finalist Visits

Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty,

I write to update you on the continuation of the search for Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. Thank you to all who provided input to the process and submitted nominations. After hundreds of contacts and hours of work on the part of the search committee to discuss and identify the most qualified candidates, we are now planning to invite finalists to interact further (virtually) with individuals and groups from across UCR's campus over the next several weeks.

Three candidates have been invited to participate in virtual campus visits to continue the process of interviewing for the position of Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. The candidates' application materials, along with the Zoom link to participate, will be posted to the Executive Searches<https://provost.ucr.edu/provost-and-executive-vice-chancellor> website 48 hours before the beginning of each virtual visit, and will be accessible via the UCR network.

Each candidate will deliver a virtual vision seminar via Zoom that will be open to the campus and community, followed by a Q&A session. Below are the dates and times for the vision seminars:

Candidate #1: October 23, 11 am - 12pm

Candidate #2: October 30, 11 am - 12pm

Candidate #3: November 3, 11 am - 12pm

We encourage your participation at these important seminars. For those unable to participate synchronously, the presentations will be recorded and posted to the Executive Searches<https://provost.ucr.edu/provost-and-executive-vice-chancellor> website. Video presentations will be viewable only for the UCR network. Feedback on the candidates will be collected via an online survey at the conclusion of each campus visit.

Your input is important as we move forward in the search. Your willingness to provide feedback helps to shape the overall picture of each person's candidacy and qualifications, along with input from other campus constituents, the search committee, and multiple references.

Sincerely,

Monica Carson
Search Advisory Committee Chair
