ATTN: UCR REGISTERED STUDENT ORGS:

Hello everyone,

My name is Jeffrey and I am the Vice President of Finance at ASUCR.

Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are now eligible to start the process of applying for the yearly ASUCR funding for thier organization. ASUCR funding is reserved for RSOs that have open membership to the undergraduate body.

To start applying for funding, your first step is to activate your organization account. Please refer to the PowerPoint Presentation at https://asucr.ucr.edu/budget/org-funding in its entirety as your go-to guide. The PowerPoint Presentation documents the newest updates to ASUCR Organization Funding. These updates include information on account activation steps, the items that ASUCR funds, visual examples of requisitions and reimbursements, and other rules that run under ASUCR funding. It is important that you view and understand every piece of information clearly. Skipping this step will slow down your process to acquire funding.

After going through the PowerPoint information, you will be tested on your understanding of the information through the Authorized Signer Test. The test must be completed and passed with a score of 80% or above to activate your org’s account. All signers must take the test.

An Authorized Signers Form must be completed as well to document the appointed authorized signers from each org. Each organization should have at least two authorized signers and at most three. Please note that your authorized signers will be the individuals who are responsible for signing requisition forms before submitting them to us. If one of the authorized signers is requesting reimbursement, please have another authorized signer complete the signature portion on the requisition form.

Have one leader fill out the Authorized Signers Form first, and have that person include other Authorized Signers’ names and email addresses. Second and Third Authorized Signers will receive an email. For more resources about ASUCR Funding please visit https://asucr.ucr.edu/budget/org-funding.

Last, ASUCR Finance Hearings are now open to appointments. In Step 3 of the link, please submit your budget through the Google Form and select your appointment time. This quarter, ASUCR Finance is hosting meetings Tuesdays 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm and Wednesdays 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best,

Jeffrey Tran
2021-2022 Vice President of Finance

HAPPY WEEK 6 HIGHLANDERS – GCAP EVENTS:

Stop by the Belltower to watch three students compete in the GCAP Cook-Off on February 10th from 12-2 PM! We will be giving away free bamboo utensils, so don't miss out!

GCAP’s thrift store event is happening on February 17th from 12-3 PM! If you would like to participate in the clothes swap, make sure to drop off your clothes at the ASUCR Office. Last day to drop off clothes is 2/15 @5PM.

Lastly, do you struggle to find parking or a carpool buddy when driving to campus?Pickup N' Park is a mobile app aimed to help students find parking and carpool rides within campus in an effort to improve sustainability, campus connectedness, and student's time and energy getting to school! Students leaving campus can make a request to be picked up and taken to their car in exchange for their parking spot to students coming to campus. Students coming to campus can offer a carpool ride to pick up students on their way, or to other locations around their schools by facilitating short distance ridesharing.

JOIN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT BODY GOVERNMENT! APPLY FOR CANDIDACY!

Candidacy for ASUCR Elections 2021 - 2022 has officially opened! You can apply to run for a senatorial seat and represent your college, or to be part of ASUCR's Executive Cabinet (president, vice presidents) or Extended Cabinet (directors). Each and every student has the power to make a difference on our campus. Taking the first step begins with student body government.
