IE Commuter is launching a new Metrolink promotion and has asked UCR to assist in testing out their system. If you are interested in taking Metrolink, whether for your commute to work or for leisure trips, you may be eligible for free Metrolink tickets for up to a 90-day period. To qualify, you must be employed by UCR and live in either Riverside or San Bernardino County.
To participate:
* Visit IECommuter.org<https://www.iecommuter.org/rp2/Home/Home> and click the "Join Now" button at top of page.
* Follow the steps to create an account.
* Once you have logged into your account, click on the "Promotions" link in the menu at top of the page. Click to join the "Free Metrolink Pass Program" and follow the instructions to receive your free tickets.
* You will be required to download the Metrolink app to your phone. Metrolink will send an email to validate, so be sure to use the same email address when creating your IE Commuter account and to check your spam folder if you don't receive the email.
A 10-trip ticket will be added to your Metrolink wallet. Tickets will be valid for 60 days from the first date of use. Participants may order additional tickets during the 90-day window, but not until all other tickets are used or have expired. You will be required to choose a starting and ending station, so we recommend that you choose the furthest station that you anticipate traveling to, as you can exit at any station along the way. For example, the 91 Perris Valley Line runs from Perris to LA Union Station. Select Perris as the starting point and LA as ending point, even if you plan to exit at another station.
When the program officially launches next year, you will be able to participate again for another 90-days. For information on Metrolink routes and schedules, visit Metrolink's website<https://metrolinktrains.com/>.
If you have any feedback or questions on the program, feel free to reach out IE Commuter at info at iecommuter.org<mailto:info at iecommuter.org>.
Happy travels!
