Winter quarter instruction update
Interim Provost Thomas Smith announced UCR will continue with mostly remote instruction during  winter quarter. Only a small percentage of in-person classes in specialized settings have been approved.

Medical simulation suite nearing completion
UCR medical students will train in the largest clinical skills and simulation suite in the UC system once construction finishes at Orbach Science Library.

Chandra Reynolds, a professor of psychology, has been named a fellow to the premier honorary scientific organization for scientists working at the interface of behavior and medicine.

Mycologist joins 2020 class of AAAS fellows

Wheeled devices policy revised
The campus has revised its policy regarding reckless use of wheeled devices such as bicycles, skateboards, and scooters. Beginning with winter quarter, violators may be cited for infractions.

The process for accessing personal travel discounts for UC employees has changed, with a replacement travel portal under development. Two other options are available in the meantime.
