Re: New Faculty Staff Assistance Program Provider
The University of California, Riverside is pleased to announce that beginning October 1, 2020, we will transition our Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) to our new provider, ComPsych(r). Our new FSAP provider, through its GuidanceResources(r), offers additional resources for our faculty, staff and their household family members including confidential support, and resources and information for personal and work-life issues. During this transition, any services that UCR faculty and staff are currently receiving will be converted over to ComPsych on October 1, 2020.

ComPsych services are provided at no charge and include:

Confidential Counseling
GuidanceResources benefits are designed to provide free short-term counseling services for UCR faculty, staff and their household family members to help handle concerns constructively, before they become major issues. Call anytime about concerns such as marital, relationship and family problems; stress, anxiety and depression; grief and loss; job pressures and substance abuse.

Work Life Solutions
The work-life specialists at ComPsych will do the research and provide qualified referrals and customized resources for child and elder care, moving, pet care, college planning, home repair, buying a car, planning an event, selling a house and more.

Legal Support
With the GuidanceResources program, there is an attorney "on call" whenever there are questions about legal matters. Speak with on-staff licensed attorneys about legal concerns such as divorce, custody, adoption, real estate, debt and bankruptcy, landlord/tenant issues, civil and criminal actions and more. If representation is required, you can be referred to a qualified attorney for a free 30-minute consultation and a 25 percent reduction in customary legal fees.

Financial Information
With the GuidanceResources benefit, you can get answers about budgeting, debt management, tax issues and other money concerns from on-staff CPAs, Certified Financial Planners(r) and other financial experts.

GuidanceResources Online
Visit Guidance Resources online<https://www.guidanceresources.com/groWeb/login/login.xhtml> to access timely, expert information on thousands of topics, including relationships, work, school, children, wellness, legal, financial and free time. You can search for qualified child and elder care, attorneys and financial planners, as well as ask questions, take self-assessments and more.

GuidanceResources is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
When you call, you will speak with a GuidanceConsultantSM, a master's- or PhD-level counselor who will collect some general information about you and will talk with you about your needs. The GuidanceConsultant will provide the name of a counselor who can assist you. You can then set up an appointment to speak with the counselor over the phone or schedule a face-to-face visit. Remember, your GuidanceResources benefits are strictly confidential.

Please visit the UCR Faculty Staff Assistance Program<https://hr.ucr.edu/compsych> webpage to learn more about all of the benefits that GuidanceResources has to offer.
