Campus use of federal relief funds
UCR will follow the recommendations of the Campus Finance Committee in disbursing federal COVID-19 relief funds. The one-time funds will support students, faculty, and staff.

Three scientists in Viji Santhakumar's brain injury lab have each received separate federal funding awards for a combined $765,000 to boost research.

Professor wins award for book on shelter animals
Katja M. Guenther, a professor of gender and sexuality studies, has won the 2021 Distinguished Book Award from the American Sociological Association's Section on Animals & Society for her book, "The Lives and Deaths of Shelter Animals."
