Chemistry and engineering students receive DOE fellowships
Joseph Schwan, a doctoral student in mechanical engineering, and Pablo Andres Unzueta, a doctoral student in chemistry, have each won funding to conduct research at U.S. Department of Energy labs for their respective projects.

UCR will take part in the annual earthquake preparedness drill Oct. 21 at 10:21 a.m. Campus emergency communications systems will be tested, although no building evacuation drills are planned.
