The campus kicked off the fall quarter with move-in weekend, welcoming more
than 15,000 students and their family members, including at the newest
residence hall, North District 2.

*Managing campus trees*

When a 95-foot-tall tree toppled earlier this month it was due to strong
winds. It’s the type of problem the campus is better prepared to deal with
in recent years due to its tree maintenance and inventory programs.

Anita Gupta, a professor of medicine, has been awarded the 2025 Arnold P.

Rep. Raul Ruiz, a founding faculty member of the School of Medicine and
