Civic Engagement Committee Opening!

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE (CEC) BOARD MEMBER POSITION OPENING  Are you
interested in voter registration and interacting with your fellow students?
Do you have a lot of extra time between classes? Then apply to be our Voter
Registration Coordinator!!! This will be a rolling application as we are
looking for someone who is dedicated and can commit a lot of time to our
committee. SO APPLY ASAP TO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF ACCEPTANCE  We can’t

Civic Engagement Committee Meeting

Hello Highlanders!!! Civic Engagement Committee will be having their first
meeting of the quarter THIS UPCOMING THURSDAY!!

We will be using a punch card system where if you attend all five meetings
this quarter you will have a chance to win civic merchandise and priority
on food giveaways

Ride to the Pop-up Market

Join us, Saturday, January 17th, at 5 PM to take RTA Route 1 to the Farm
Collective. We'll grab a bite to eat and check out some local vendors and
artists. If you love thrifting, don't miss out. Pocket Change Pop Ups
offers upcycled Y2K fashion and handmade goods. This trip is only a minute
away from campus, so come out to see what's happening in the Riverside
community.

Ride to the Lunar New Year Festival

Utilize your free RTA bus pass to see the 14th Annual Lunar New Year
Festival in Downtown Riverside.

We will meet at Bannockburn Village to take RTA Route 1 to Downtown
Riverside. Enjoy local arts and culture, food vendors, and explore historic

Metrolink Train Field Trip

TAPS Metrolink public transit field trip for the Winter Quarter will be on
Sunday, February 1st.  Let us know where you want to go next! You will
receive a link to a survey when you subscribe to our mailing list

The survey form includes the schedule breakdown, information regarding
amenities, and expectations for both destinations. The survey will close on
Thursday, January 15th. We welcome anyone, including student organizations,

ASUCR's Senate acts as the main decision-making body of student government,
representing the voices of undergraduates across campus. It’s made up of
elected senators from each college, along with executive officers who help
organize and support student-led efforts. The Senate meets every week to
review and vote on legislation, distribute funding to student
organizations, and talk through issues that impact the wider campus
community. Meetings are led by the Executive Vice President and follow a
structured format to keep things fair, open, and inclusive. Overall, the
Senate plays a vital role in making sure student voices are heard and in
improving student life at UCR.
