>From the Office of the Executive Vice President & Senate

ASUCR's Senate acts as the main decision-making body of student government,
representing the voices of undergraduates across campus. It’s made up of
elected senators from each college, along with executive officers who help
organize and support student-led efforts. The Senate meets every week to
review and vote on legislation, distribute funding to student
organizations, and talk through issues that impact the wider campus
community. Meetings are led by the Executive Vice President and follow a
structured format to keep things fair, open, and inclusive. Overall, the
Senate plays a vital role in making sure student voices are heard and in
improving student life at UCR.

Senate Highlight: Legislation Tracker

The ASUCR Senate reviews and advances student-led legislation throughout
the year. Senate Bills (SB) propose changes to existing ASUCR bylaws,
introduce new bylaws, or put forward Constitutional Amendments, while
Senate Resolutions (SR) express the Senate’s positions on campus or public
issues. All legislation is first reviewed by the Legislative Review
Committee before being brought to the full Senate for a vote. To learn more
about current legislation or to share ideas for future proposals, please
connect with the President Pro Tempore at asucrprotempore at ucr.edu. The
tracker and information about what the Senate is working on can be found
here: https://asucr.ucr.edu/records/senate-legislation

Agenda and Documents can be found on the ASUCR website
